I don’t know why people celebrate the new year lol. Okay, so its a renewal and a chance to make your dreams blah blah blah. But those who go to countdown parties are just brain-dead victims of commercialization.
I mean. Okay, so you wanna celebrate another chance you’ve got to do whatever. But what for pay for loud music and people pushing you and the whole crowd just jumping off a floating platform into the sea.
Of course, this isn’t the only time you can do bullcrap like this, but fact is, choose another reason lol. New year celebration is a really stupid reason. Do people really like celebrating for no reason.

Something today just reaffirmed my belief that Singaporean people will do anything to get money.

Okay, I went Christmas shopping at Suntec. I had to stop by Harris(Upmarket rebranding of popular) to get some photo paper to print my BI scrapbook photos on. Knowing that I have a laser printer, there must be some kind of difference between photo paper for inkjet and laser, since the way the ink is put on the paper is different. So I asked the sales person if the paper that said inkjet could be used with laser. I figured, if she said okay, why not? Bad move.
On hindsight, I doubt she knows what’s a laser printer.
I went home and conducted a trial on a piece of paper. The whole thing was abosolutely gutted lah. I mean, the ink that stuck to the paper, fine. it looked good. But at the end, the ink got scraped and it looked like some disgusting gunk. I had to feed three pieces of plain paper into the slot to print to clean off the excess ink still lingering at the toner. I mean, wth lah. Honestly, if you don’t have a product, instead of ripping off your customers, you might as well just be honest and say “Look, the bloody thing says inkjet. Obviously it won’t work for laser, but if you want I can phone another shop to see if they have it. Is that okay?”

Anyway, christmas mood back in the set =D. I’m typing this on a new keyboard that’s laced with chrome and it looks sweettttt.
It has built in multimedia keys, and the scroll which controls the volume helps alot more than the stupid youtube volume bar.
Also, I bought something seriously important to have, especially if you’re in a boy’s school right after PE lessons after the hot sun. I’ll give you three guesses.

I just realised how much you can pay just for branding. A billabong belt that cost 70 bucks, a pair of converse slippers that cost 50 bucks. Both owned by yours truly. Is that good to be proud of? Probably not.
Anyway, the “Joys of materialism?” Who came up with that lol. Wanna give a big thank you to that person. It’s quite cool lol, can be used for a lot.

Back from first class hike =D
It actually was quite tiring, but when you think about it and recall your experiences it just leaves one word on your lips:

And the best part was, I was carrying the tent. Another 2-3 kg perhaps. Now my shoulders ache and my legs are sore.
But no matter, I’m still going to go with XQ for his CCA in exactly a week’s time xD
It’ll be 9 KM easier, but stricter in certain ways. – > You have to wear your scout uniform.

Okay, basically the hike was alright lah, just tiring and shagging.
I went with Janus and Yu hui, and basically as it got to the end it was so shagging that we were dying on our way to each check point, we recovered at the chest point, and went on the edge of dying again. How fun.
There weren’t a lot of highlights lah, basically walking and walking and walking. But Janus’ leg got scalded and he went home halfway. 2nd degree burns. Apparently he dun feel the pain in his leg. He feels it in his heart…his bill $50 O_o the Bandaging ($32) cost more than his consultation fee =D
The East coast park (our rest point) toilets were kinda disgusting. Unmentionables in the two toilets with no locks, and the only clean toilet had no locks. DAMN. either way I just secured the clean toilet using my secret method. No one will know…muhahahaha.

It’s kinda stupid lah, and I wonder how tourists come back year after year to see this stuff. I mean, yeah, good photo opportunity. But…for example, u know the duck tour is both on land and sea right? When we were going into the sea, the tour guide said “Okay, let’s go QUACK QUACK!”

Lol back from group camp.
Basically day one wasn’t much. Victoria’s Secrets(Treasure hunt) and the rest went cycling while the 6 of us who couldn’t cycle played carom xD
Victoria’s Secrets for Washington was screwed up at first, because when we got there the clue was torn off by a cleaner already =.=”. It was kinda tiring running around I guess…
The cycling trip was from VS to Changi Village and back, about total combined 35+ km I guess. Then the next day 20km hike. Champion =D
Okay, day 2.
We took bus to Southern Ridge park, then hiked to Vivocity and took bus to superbowl @ Mount Faber Safra.
This is at the forest walk, which stretches 1km, dunno who this is. Forgot le xD
Starting point of the steel part of forest walk. For those afraid of heights, don’t look down lol. I did and got the fright of my life. The thing is quite thin steel grid in the shape of triangles. It’s kind of scary cause you can see directly underneath but quite safe too.
Soon afterward, we started off for Henderson wave bridge, the tallest pedestrian bridge in singapore.
It’s entirely made of wood lol. there are like miniscule gaps, cause when you sit down u can feel the cool air rising.
It’s quite big lah, and also aesthetically pleasin. See Guo qiang so lonely one person hiking xD
This proves that we hiked to vivo lol. It was damn amazing lah, to see vivo after a long and hot hike. The aircon at harbourfront where we ate macs was damn nice xd
Superbowl. sian, point to note. If you’re good, people will know that you’re good. if you’re bad and you say you’re good, you’re asking for it.
Its like, I remember getting 150 before. But that was all the way went I first went bowling lol. Then in the end after telling my patrol I get 150 before, I end up getting 58 -.- Damn du lan and embarrasing.
Then at night, we played badminton. Wah lan, got very surprising people leh, Fabian can hit as hard as bryan and yong jia O_o
After that, we watched e NC16 movie: Death Race.
Basically, the year is 2012. The US economy is down, crime rates soar and prisons are now run by private insitutions. The protagonist, something aimes, is framed for the murder of his wife and is incarcerated at Terminal Island, which used to run cage fights between prisoners to earn money. Then they incorporated death race, where the rules are simple: There are none.
So this guy frankenstein, died during his previous race, and this aimes guy is given a deal: Replace frank(this aimes guy was a NASCAR driver I think) and win one more race(Frank won 4 out of 5 races, and if u win 5 races u win your freedom) and be set free…
The storyline is quite simple lah, but the racing scenes are damn nice, and the characters are kinda funny. Got a chinese american, when racing lah, he’s being aimed on by a huge cannon, and he’s like “Fuck me” in the chinese accent. Then before that, when he kills someone he’s like “What’s my name? 14k!”
Then the movie also very memorable. Henessy(The prison warden IC) wanted to blow up Aimes car(Complicated to explain, watch the movie, can find online de, wink wink) Then she was like “COME FUCK WITH ME, COCKSUCKERS” (Sorry for the vulgarities yeah) Then she press the bomb button. At that moment, the pirated DVD screws up and freezes, and her face is stuck there lol. traumatic xD
Okay Day 3.
We had cooking competition. Our dishes damn unique sia, at first we went to giant cannot decide what to cook. We wanted to make chicken bak kut teh. LOL. Then I suggested Tom yam, but the soup mix very expensive. In the end we made corn and carrot soup, then spam pepper until the whole thing damn peppery.

SO…lately my posts haven’t been anything lately…I feel kinda sian lol.
Holidays are ending in 3 weeks max, and I still have BI homework to do.Then I’m going for camp from 15th-17th lol.
Sian. I had to buy a plate and a bowl because beng doesn’t like mess tins, (-.-) because all my plates are porcelain/china if you’re asking. During group camp, me, isaac, joshua, zhong wei, wenjie can’t cycle. So we’ll be staying back in school while the rest go to changi village….God know’s what we’re going to do.
My house is going to get a new kitchen floor xD yeah. The old one was cracked as cracked can get. Meh. I scratched my foot on it before x(
You know, I’m like extending this post because you guys have to live on it till I come back from camp, and if it isn’t long enough you guys might not survive =D

Today I went to chinatown for my mom to shop for new year stuff, my aunt to ditto and me to tag along incase I get a treat on something I like…
But when we got there mostly it was just walking, stopping in a shop, walking again. You know, I’d like to dub chinatown the sleazier, china version of vivocity. U know, I saw these hookers with a lao ah pek and it was disgusting. PDA= Public display of affection.
Then okay lah, we went to this desert place, instead of the rough texture of our ice kachang, they shave into 一丝一丝 of ice. very shiok, because you know your teeth aren’t being worn down by solid ice you’re crunching.
Then basically I didn’t buy much except the abovementioned metal bowl…sien.
Recently I bought another 2 pairs of jeans, one black, one grey. I like the grey one better, I mean black and black unless your black shirt has designs doesn’t look very nice. usually some contrast works better.

Wah, very nostalgic lehs.
I’m looking at our family photos from 2001-2008 and it chronicles some pretty important parts of my life.
I mean, only 13 years old doesn’t mean there’s nothing to be nostalgic about. I mean, 13 years is still 13 years what.
24 days left before 2009. And 2009 is going to be a difficult year lol. Economic recession, friends going IP…subject combination…tougher exams.
And I still haven’t finish my holiday homework lol. Almost half of November taken up, still have half of my chinese homework and my BI homework left.
On a brighter side, I went SHOPPING today lol.
Story behind : I wanted to look a little like Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong for CNY right, so I decided: Wear black of course cannot. but add red skinny tie still can right, so I went to buy. then I decided on a more maroon shade of skinny tie.
And fyi, if you didn’t know already, the place where u buy affects the price a lot. U know the topman in bugis? The same tie cost 43 dollars. I managed to buy it for 12.90. Guess where I bought it?

And then right, the brand u buy from also matters. A very nice buckle from bugis street/village costs 29 dollars. Expensive right? I bought mine from billabong.

At least it’s geniunie leather lors. At the time I thought it was a pretty good bargain for real leather until I realised that it costs more than a pair of converse.
I almost swore f#$% under my breath when I realised I got conned. But meh, christmas shopping. Then I went Giordano to buy my black long-sleeved shirt and I guess I’m pretty much set for christmas.

Today we went to seoul garden to celebrate our :
Wa lao, we eat for 3 hours sia, from 1 to 4.-.-.
Near the end of our meal, can see all the plates at the side. We spammed like what? 3 Plates of beef per table ( two tables ) and like 2 plates of chicken and not forgetting the seafood. (Wow.)
There was like, beef bulgogi, chicken bulgogi, chicken and beef in curry marinade, chicken slices, beef slices, tom yam beef and chicken and all other kinds of tasty marinade. Ohyeah, also got beef black pepper de.
This picture is not very clear lah, but I spammed chicken and beef and prawns on this plate. The marinade is like spamming the whole plate lol. Speaking of prawns, the table with bryan right, they left the prawns there until the juice from the prawn started flowing out, then after that the stock got some foamy crap. Disgusting xD
We did a lot of stupid stuff, like for example this cup.
You know right, there’s no fruit punch there. Guess what we did to this cup?
We mixed root beer, pepsi, miranda(the orange) and then we put the syrup meant for the ice kachang inside. WTH lah, its like totally sweet and icky. We Threw it into the sink I think.
This one even better. WB told Wee long to write: “There’s no sushi here.” And wee Long classic. Wrote this:

Then in the end he cancel write:
No sushi. Lol.
Towards the end, I think most of us feel like exploding lor. I went to the toilet to puke out the ice cream float I made with root beer and ice cream. Sounds gross, but yeah, that’s how full I was.

Anyway, can safely say that NPC is really damn shag.
I can’t really remember every single detail of what happened since I just woke up from extended sleep, I’ll just remember some things.
Day 1:
Sian, the support unloading helped quite a bit, but still there was loads of stuff to carry, the weather was killer, the flagbreak dragged on and on and the other subcamps were late to arrive, and I shagged myself before anything else happened =D
Day 2:
Layout inspection. You know right, at first we thought we screw up. Bryan forget to wash the pan after cooking because it was on the dresser liao and he thought it was washed. Then also our inspection was seriously messy. Then some gadgets not up yet. Die liao right, turns out we get first for layout inspection xD
Then we had Camp development, then at about 9 or somthing we had backoodsman/orienteering. Pretty pleased with myself larh, for once I didn’t burst any of the fish’s organs. Also tasted damn shiok. Previously I do got fishy taste de, because I reuse the chicken marinade. In the end I use pepper and soy sauce.
Then we did scout lore at night. It was actually quite easy at the point, but got some stupid questions such as “What is used to measure earthquakes”…guess what are the answers given?

Damn horny xD
Anyway, turns out we get 4th in camp for lore. so sian.
Day 3:
We did pioneering. SHIT sia, I took the wrong extension bags for rope(Can’t find mah, then someone told me black or red bag), but nvm, since most of the ropes cut to size, so dunnid extension. Then I screwed up the ladder, base somehow got misaligned halfway, so I needed to redo the ladder when it was already attached to the structure xD
Eh, I remember le, since NPC over, I’ll just post pictures of things that will confirmed be changed de, so can’t violate trade secrets…
The ladder I made there was seriously wonky(This one was taken at pre-camp)
At night, we did our sort of mini auditions for our skit, the best skit from each subcamp will be chosen for the grandcampfire on day 4.
Then when we went up to introduce ourselves and cheer, it was damn funny. We did VS unite and the best part was normally we do VS (scream) VS (scream) right? Suddenly Shu liang without warning go VS (WOOAAAHHH) and it was damn funny and halfway we almost stopped because we were laughing like crazy xD
We damn moodswing lol, at first yong jia and wee long went to check results and we found out we were third in subcamp. So sian, because that means we can be 3rd in the whole camp at best and as low as 20th in camp. Then suddenly day four in the morning we found out we 3rd IN THE WHOLE CAMP OUT OF 60 SCHOOls. suddenly the challenge shield seem so possible lol.
Day 4: OPEN HOUSE xD

We did VS unite, VS power, VS anthem and other stuff…then this time when shu liang scream WOOOAAAH again, it was seriously so funny that we stopped cheering and started laughing then shu liang solo one part of the cheer. xD
Day 5: Packing day.
The NPC badge for this time. Kind of sian, not very nice as compared to other camps. The color very gaudy.
So yeah, that’s pretty much the end of NPC 08 lor.
